Florida Things to Do: 565 reviews and 970 photos

Visiting Universal Studios in Orlando. This place was fantastic. I am generally not a fan of theme parks, but we had a blast here. Great sites to see and good places to eat (Don't drink too much beer if you are going on the rides. Good for the sit down shows though!)

You see many different 'sets' as you walk around. Many, many different things to see.
Very cool rides and shows.
Some of my favorite shows were:
ALFRED HITCHCOCK - Here they showed the 3-D version of the Birds. They continued to show the process filming for Psycho, as well as some of his other films. Great show if you like Alfred Hitchcock.
GORY GRUESOME & GROTESQUE HORROR MAKE-UP - Indoor stage that shows some tricks in film making to create special effects.
EARTHQUAKE - Shows special effects used in creating a massive earthquake (apparently eerie for those who have experienced one). Eventually, you board the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and once aboard, the earthquake starts to hit.
JAWS - Takes you on a actual boat ride. Eventually, your boat is attacked by a Great White Shark. Keep your hands in the boat, for the shark comes right up! You may get wet(I did).
BACK TO THE FUTURE - Based on the movie with Michael J Fox. The screen is HUGE that you watch the 'movie' on and the car can bang you up. If you get motion sickness, you may not enjoy. (Sounds like a bad rating, but this was one of my favorite rides if not my favorite).
WILD, WILD, WILD WEST STUNT SHOW - This was really cool actually. Full of explosions, falls, gun fights, and horse tricks (need I say more).

**STAY AWAY FROM THESE SHOWS!** - Beetle Juice's Rock & Roll Revue, A Day in the Park with Barney, and ET. (Trust me on these).

Directions: Located in Orlando. Call for directions or follow signs. Huge place can't miss it.
othercontact: Generally open from 9AM-7PM, som
