"Pine Island beach area. This..." Florida Off The Beaten Path Tip by nuker

Pine Island beach area. This is a very small and unknown beach in Florida. It has never been crowded when I have been there. It is located on the Gulf of Mexico near Brooksville and Zepherhills. Unfortunately, I don't know the roads, but the locals will be able to point you in the right direction. The road to the beach takes you through a small section of wetlands and mangroves. I don't think any Crocs are there though. Once at the beach, they have a small snack bar with a restroom as well.

The sand is very soft and nice. Once in the water, you have devils rays and crabs swimming at you feet. If you are lucky (especially after a rain), you will be able to see dolphins in the background.
