Hendersons: "An Edinburgh institution" Henderson's Tip by leffe3

Henderson's, Edinburgh: 5 reviews and 2 photos

No visit to Edinburgh is complete without a visit to Hendersons. This basement self-service vegetarian restaurant is a local institution, even among non-veggies.
A few specials of the day served with a choice of 3 of the many salads on offer or simply a homely soup with a large plate of salad, a chunk of bread and butter, freshly squeezed fruit/vegetable juice and a tempting dessert. Collect it all on a tray and go off and find yourself a seat in the miriad of rooms that is now Hendersons.

Above ground there is a helath food shop and, in the alley to the side, a Hendersons Wine Bar, which is a more up market version of the original.

Favorite Dish: The various salads are great and complement the specials to a tee.
