Zalipie residents throw open their homes to visitors, so that their art and tradition may be admired. Few people, even in Poland, know about Zalipie and visit it!

The old cottages are even more beautiful on the inside than the outside, and the owner will show you the interior if asked. This is not an obligation on their part, they are doing you a service and inviting you into their home. Tourism has not reached this part of the world.

As you can see from this pic, even the newer homes in the village are continuing the tradition.
