Shopping in Turkey was a dream.Clothes were a great buy and the leather shops were great.I got my dad a leather wallet,a really nice one for £12 .I found that the quality of things was alot better in the small villages, away from overpriced touristy areas. The market in Kalkan had some nice things and clothes were a good price here. When we went shopping in Kalkan,we spent all day long chatting to people and looking at things. We haggled for most things and it is part of the fun of shopping.Turkish people expect you to haggle. The market is held on Thursdays from 9-6pm.I found the beautiful handmade rugs very nice indeed.I bought only a small one for £45 ,but when i go back,i will get a bigger one to put in my livingroom.
