Not far from Monument Valley is Goulding´s Lodge. It is absolutely vital to book ahead if you want to spend the night there.
More accommodation can be found in Kayenta and Mexican Hat.
There´s a campground near the visitors center.

Unique Qualities: Goulding´s Lodge was the place where the film crews stayed when making all those Westerns (director John Ford). The Lodge also has a small museum with pictures of those days.
