<font color=blue> Tombstone <font color=black>, in the south east of Tucson, is a popular tourist spot, depicting the Old West. Then, it was an important stop for those going from Chicago to San Francisco AND a silver-mining town with up to 15 000 inhabitants (1880), and it is said to have been not only rich but also pretty much 'lawless'. Today, you can watch gun fights and walk on 'original' sidewalks of an old western town to get a drink in one of the old-style saloons.Visit OK Corral and relive that famous gun fight between Wyatt Earp and the Clantons/Doc Holliday.Take a silver mine tour. Walk up to Boot Hill Graveyard to look at the old tombstones: 'Hanged by mistake' is the inscription on one of them. +++ In summer, temperatures will easily hit 40°C - so be prepared.
