"The best way is to fly. I..." United Kingdom Transportation Tip by morgandk

The best way is to fly. I love British Airways. BA flies mainly into Gatwick, on the outskirts of South London. You can take a train into the center of London, but you should rent a car. Buy USAA insurance before arriving from America- it will keep the costs down. Charge the car, most often you will get a better exchange rate.
Automobiles are the best and most reliable. Trains can be expensive and unreliable (the socialist native factor). Air fares between London and Edinburough are running about 70 pounds sterling ($120). Rental car is about $800 per month (unlimited mileage.) Be warned, Yankees are spoiled on petro prices. The Brits pay 74 pence per liter- about $5 per gallon. Might want to ride the bus.

Type: Train
