Fondest memory: As Rajasthan is a part of India so big like Germany, you can imagine the people here are also very different concerning the language (the north part of India speaks hindi but it doesnīt mean that the dialects from each state, or exacter from one city to another, the people truelly speak the same language) and the traditions.
I tried to learn a little bit hindi but I didnīt have much succes. What did I learned:
ek, do, tin, tschar (one, two, three, four)
neih (no)
namaste and tschai are understandable
and then the most important: I donīt eat anything with 'gobi' (cauliflower)
The people were almost allways very nice and helpful, even if there were some times understanding problems, everybody tried to help me out of my problems.
The nicest experiences you will make in places not so touristic, when children want only to say 'hello' and shake hands without thinking about 'rupiah, rupiah'
The next point: I liked very much the sari, but I truelly donīt beleave that I would look nice with it, so I let it !
