Medinet Habu is one of the best preserved temples of ancient Thebes. Not many tours visit the site which means it's left relatively empty for the rest of us to enjoy.
One of the reliefs on the outside wall of the temple depicts a sea battle - the only example in ancient Egypt.
Directions:
Follow the road from the ticket office back towards the Colossi of Memnon. Take the first right turn and a short walk or bike ride will bring you to the temple entrance.
