"Packing List" Israel Packing List Tip by lpgator72

Israel What to Pack: 55 reviews and 33 photos

Luggage and bags: No real specs here. As always, packing lighter is better. And your luggage will almost definiteyl be searched.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For a country of its size, the climate of Israel is extremely varied. Bring warm clothes if you're going to be in Jerusalem - or the desert, for that matter. It can get quite cool at night, even during the summer. And it did snow while I was in Jerusalem in January.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: It's not a matter of being able to get what you need - it's a matter of figuring out how to say 'anti-fungal cream' in Hebrew...pharmacies are well sticked in the city, and I found the druggists to be very helpful.

Photo Equipment: You're pretty much OK here - I'd bring batteries and lots of film, as both of these can get expensive. Process your film when you get home. It's expensive.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: (see above about weather)

If you're in the desert, thankfully, there's no need to worry about rain. But bring lots and lots of water. You won't feel the sun.
