Duomo, Milan: 260 reviews and 464 photos

No trip to Milan would be complete without taking the fabulous Duomo (cathedreal) in the city's center. The third largest cathedral in the world, the duomo is a gothic style cathedral built largely between 1366 and 1485, although it wasn't completely finished until the time of Napoleon. There are 135 spires and 3200 statues in the roof and facade of the Duomo. The central spire is crowned with a gilded statue of the Madonna, the city's patron saint. 15th century stained-glass windows on the right and later copies on the left greet you inside.

Address: Piazza del Duomo (MM1 or MM3 Duomo)
