"I flew with SAS from London..." Oslo Transportation Tip by laurentka

Oslo Transportation: 247 reviews and 273 photos

I flew with SAS from London Heathrow to Oslo airport, located at Gardermoen approx. 50km north of the city. The best way to get into the city is by Flybussekspressen (NKR100). Their buses leave 2 or 3 times an hour.
A lot of the places you can visit on foot. There's lots to explore.

Oslo also has an excellent transportation system. You can choose between buses, trams, or the underground system (T-bane). You can get a ticket for all three that's valid for 24 hours (NKR50) or for longer periods of time.

If you want to visit the Kon-Tiki, Fram, Viking ships, National Folk and Norwegian Maritime museums then I would recommend the ferry departing from the pier behind the City Hall. It leaves every 40 mins during the low season and every 20 during the high season (NKR22). There's also a tram that takes you there.
