"Roxborough State Park or Red..." Denver Things to Do Tip by AgentJX

Denver Things to Do: 271 reviews and 563 photos

Roxborough State Park or Red Rocks are close to Denver and are great places to spend an afternoon hiking. Plus Red Rocks is a great concert venue.
Red sandstone rock formations are the highlights of these places. During a clear day the red rock makes a great contrast to the deep blue sky. Both are located along a hogback that runs along the edge of the foothills. Roxborough is larger than Red Rocks and is better for people who want to spend a whole day hiking, taking pictures, or just relaxing.

Directions: Both are West of Denver. Red Rocks is off of C-470 at Morrison. Roxborough is Southwest of Denver, take C-470 to Colorado 121 (Wadsworth Blvd.)
