Arc de Triomphe and Avenue des Champs Élysées
The Arc de Triomphe was build in honour of Napoleon I army and erected in 1836. Since November 11th 1920 the body of the Unknown Soldier was lay under the vault of the Arc in the memory of war victims. From the top of the Arc you can admire view of the city, but even more fascinating is to observe the traffic in the Charles de Gaulle Étoile ? the first in the world roundabout. This view gives you some opinion about the rules of driving in Paris. The conclusion is only one ? there are no rules.
Avenue des Champs Élysées - one of the most famous streets in the world. Still beautiful in some parts, extremely expensive, full of the cafes, shops, cinemas and people. It?s hard to walk here in Saturday afternoon or night ? but it?s worth to see.
