"Napoleon's Tomb" Tombeau de Napoléon Ier Tip by Aaron7

Tombeau de Napoléon Ier, Paris: 64 reviews and 135 photos

The golden top of Eglise du Dome, the church that houses Napoleon's Tomb, is noticable throughout Paris. This monument to Napoleon is lavish in its use of onyx, marble and gold trim. Its scale dwarfs, and makes you forget the small size of its inductee. It is a part of the Hotel de Invalides, a hospital for war veterans founded by Louis XIV.
