Top-notch town centre Brit-nouveau restaurant (though not in the same league as super-posh L'Ortolan in nearby Shinfield). Good food, informal atmosphere, and the Kennet-side terrace looks great for when it's not raining! A birthday treat for me tonight and I'm very pleased with it.

Favorite Dish: I had the calves sweetbreads with bacon, followed by pan-fried sea bass with squid, aubergine and salsa verde, followed by chocolate mousse with clotted cream. All very good.
