"Newcastle quayside" Quayside Tip by Superphiluk

Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne: 21 reviews and 43 photos

This area has overcome amazing work on it and is a favourite place for me to go now. The millenium bridge also know as the millenium eye because of its tilting rotation to let boats to tall to pass over by closing in like an eye (discription not very good!) The Baltic arts centre has just been opened and used to be a flour mill but is now home to contemporay arts it is just great to look at and when you are inside (free admission) the view from the very top is astounding as you can see most of newcastle from it. There is a number of high class night clubs there with very high prices for beer and alchol sometimes you will find newcastle united players there! Also a new development is underway for a hugh music centre.

Directions: Situated by the river tyne. Just head for the tyne bridge and you'll soon see the area!
