  Patio de la Concellas

This is one of the three great surviving Moorish palaces in Spain (Granada and Cordoba have the others). With mahogany ceilings from Cuba and cedar ceilings from Lebanon; wonderfully preserved living quarters with their tiles for keeping cool in summer; typical Moorish gardens with lots of green and water; the Patio de las Doncellas boasting plasterwork by the finest Granadan craftsmen; lovely poolside frescoes and an ornate viewing platform - this is a place worth seeing. Personally I found this place better preserved and more enjoyable than the Alhambra but it certainly isn't as vast. Do get a guide if you can, you'll get much more out of it.
