"Tonic" Tonic Tip by Lulu-Girl

Tonic, New York City: 2 reviews and 0 photos

Great small club that offers an interesting variety of live music. Owned by John Zorn. Everything from members of sonic youth collaborating to former members of The Swans trying out a new sound. Very interesting place, and generally admission is cheap (under 20 bucks...normally between five and ten dollars) unless a big name is going there.
The downstairs is normally electronic based music, and the decor is very cool. The booths are really huge, old casks that once held beer (? that is a guess). Usually the downstairs is free admission or very, very cheap.

Dress Code: none

Directions: Tonic is located at 107 Norfolk Street between Delancey and Rivington Streets in Manhattan's Lower East Side.
Theme: Concert

Review Helpfulness: 1.5 out of 5 stars
