Favorite thing: Take a leisurely cruise around the Sai Kung Peninsula area of Hong Kong. Most people think of Hong Kong as concrete jungle but it is not so. We have more land that is countryside than commercial. However, most tourists only see the commercial areas - most tourists stay in hotels in the commercial area - that is why However, even in the downtown areas, there are pockets of places for cultural experiences. If you are in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, drop by the Museum of Art - there is an audio guide and sometimes there is docent guided tours. Wednesday is a free day. The Museum of Art has a good permanent collection of Chinese artifacts. There are various special exhibitions throughout the year. Next to the Museum is the Space Museum - there are permanent exhibitions and also special shows in the Omnnimax theatre.

After visiting these 2 places, you may want to have a bite to eat. There is a Chinese dimusum restaurant nearby, in fact, is is between these 2 museums. Dimsum is a typical Cantonese lunch, serving small platters or baskets of steamed food.
