This is NOT where we stayed. All will become clear as you read on.
The accomodation we had, the Borghese, was, in both cases, basic, clean and relatively comfie. Relatively because we didn't pay 'top-dollar', we went to both islands at the drop of a hat and the price did reflect the facilities. However, in both cases, we were very close to the nightlife, bars and tavernas.
Do take a mosquito plug (available from the airports and normally better quality and cheaper). Don't take too many bits and bobs because these rooms have very little in the way of somewhere to put stuff.
The shower will probably amaze you as there is no anti-splashy-doory-thingy and no shower curtain so be prepared to get most of the bathroom stuff wet!!
Don't think that the word pension means for people of a pensionable age, I don't know what it means, perhaps someone can enlighten me, but the place we stayed at Ipsos had the word pension over the door and there was a wonderful variety of ages, cultures and great folks from all over and of all ages. we made friends quickly with all those we met.
This said, if we had paid £300+ for a week, we would have expected a little better, maybe even aircon....who knows....
The Borghese..?....couldn't say as it was a very late deal, done as a package...sowwie.
The Anniliza.... best guess as above
Unique Qualities: At the Borghese, no pool, but the room was cleaned regularly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Family owned and well respected. If you go, watch out for that daft dog, Goofy !
Little is known of the Annaliza, but hey, I took a picture of that one!!
Directions: Borghese apartments, Ipsos.
Annaliza apatments, Pyrgi.
othercontact: Another good choice is the Hotel
