By airplane from anywhere, or by ship from Sweden(Stockholm) , Estonia(Tallinn) or Germany(Rostock). From Russia(StPetersburg&Moscow) by train is the easiest and less expensive alternative compared to aeroplane.
From Helsinki-Vantaa airport(voted the best airport in the world) you have several alternatives to get to Helsinki city center.
You can take a taxi, that costs appr. 25 EUR. Airport-taxi(yellow van) costs little less, maybe 10-15EUR(check the price advance).
Finnair bus to Helsinki costs 5EUR, and it doesnt stop on the way to city. It takes about 25 minutes.
Bus number 615(T,N) costs appr. 3EUR, stops all the bus-stops if needed, and it takes about 30-35 minutes to city.
Cheapest way is walking. Its only 20 kilometers, and it takes about 3-5 hours, depending how fast you can walk. Not recommended during the winter time(extremely cold, you see...).

Type: Train
