"Big Bend National Park." Texas Off The Beaten Path Tip by darthmilmo

Texas Off The Beaten Path: 102 reviews and 143 photos

Big Bend National Park. This scenic area lies in the Chihuahua Desert, right at the border with Mexico. It's definitly worth the time and hassle to get there. Oh, the Chiso Basin holds plenty of multi-day trek opportunities. If you go treking, may I suggest the North East Rim Campsites number 2 and 3. They are a bit far away from the main path, but the views just minutes away are breathless. I just which I had camped there the last time I visited. Needless to say I will camp there. Funny thing, since there are so far away, few people even bother camping there! Oh, feel free to look at my photologue of my 2002 trek.
