Napoleon House: "Napoleon House" New Orleans Restaurant Tip by dzni

Napoleon was supposed to come and live in this historic house when he was exiled, but he never came. Anyway, this place is famous for the Mufaletta, a huge 'sandwich' bread that is filled with a concoction of an olive salad/spread and lots of meats, plus some cheese... and then it's warmed of course, and served sliced in four wedges. It's huge, and two of us with big appetites couldn't finish our halves.

Favorite Dish: Mufaletta

Directions: 500 Chartres Street, in the French Quarter

It took us awhile to find this place, so look carefully
