"Most international airlines..." Israel Transportation Tip by leffe3

Israel Transportation: 137 reviews and 140 photos

Most international airlines fly into Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion airport). Eilat also has an international airport, predominantly used by charter flights. Haifa as a limited international service.

1: There is now a train service from the airport that connects with Tel Aviv and the coast. Currently only taxis or sheruts (shared taxis) are the only option to Jerusalem.

2: Internal flights ply between Tel Aviv (Sde Boker airport - internal flights only) and Eilat (approx 60 minutes): Tel Aviv north to Rosh Pina (30 minutes) and Kiryat Shmona (40 minutes). Some northerly flights between Tel Aviv and Kiryat Shmona stop off at Rosh Pina, making the leg between RP and KS one of the shortest flights around (7 minutes).
