"The Peak" Victoria Peak Tip by leffe3
Victoria Peak, Hong Kong: 297 reviews and 444 photos
Everyone is drawn to visit The Peak if in HK. Understandable as the views (on a clear day) are spectacular. Take the tram up, have a coffee at one of the cafes and wander out on to the roof terrace. Take the Peak Walk round the summit - pleasant, pathed so possible for all ages and agilities - takes about 45 minutes with frequent stops.
The tram leaves from Garden Rd (behind Citibank Plaza) - there's a free shuttle bus from the Star Ferry Terminus. The tram (10 minutes) provides an incredibly steep journey and the floor is angled. Gets very popular at weekends and the summer. Alternatively, you can take the #15C bus or the #15 from Exchange Square. The #15 provides a hair-raising experience (especially coming down the Peak) and highlights just how steep the Peak is and how high it rises in a very short space of time.
It's crowded at any time of day, but expect big crowds at night as the sun sets and the lights below start to appear.
Address: Above the skyline of HK Island.
