"4. SANTA BARBARAAfter the..." SANTA BARBARA Tip by Lys-Noir

SANTA BARBARA, California: 3 reviews and 3 photos

Favorite thing: 4. SANTA BARBARA

After the second part of the *scenic drive*...and no sights due foggy weather´, it was time to find the INN I had read about by chance in one of my belgian magazine.

This town doesn't look like normal american ones - it has spanish architecture which is easily explained by the fact that Santa Barbara was under Spanish and Mexican control from 1782 until 1846. However there is little left from that period. After the 1925 earthquake, the Architectural Board of Review decided to promote the Spanish Colonial look, which can now be appreciated throughout the town.
