"Do not wear expensive or even..." Brazil Warnings Or Dangers Tip by kathyceo

Brazil Warnings and Dangers: 97 reviews and 53 photos

Do not wear expensive or even good jewelry, flaunt cameras, or other valuables while travelling in Brazil. The people are not dangerous, but many are poor, and the prospect of grabbing some items which could become quick cash is too tempting to ignore. Tourists generally do not have to worry about serious harm (rape or murder) but especially in the larger cities, do not stroll at night--and if you do, have no jewelry, purses, watches on your body. During the day some young boys may even try to scam you by dirtying your shoe and then demand payment to clean it etc. These are not sufficient concerns to skip Brazil please, it is a wonderful beautiful country that is a must see for any curious worldly traveller.
