Three basilicas mark the site, the western, the central and the oriental. In the first the apse faces west. The second has fine gry columns. The ancient harbour is now lost after an earthquake in 365 AD. On one of the rocky islets you can see the remains of a slipway. On the beach is the remains of a 4th century kiln and, near it, the holes wher Roman fish paste, gorum, was made. Climb a little higher you look down on the theatre. The small museum nearby has a few pieces worth seeing and a picture of the extinct but once highly valued silfium plant!
