"Out of all the gazillion..." Combined Suggestions Tip by Geisha_Girl

Combined Suggestions, New York City: 54 reviews and 43 photos

Out of all the gazillion restaurants to choose from in New York City....it's hard to decide which ONE stands out as my favorite. I like various ones for different reasons. This picture here was taken recently at 'Carmine's.' A well-known Italian restaurant in the Theater District. Carmine's is an 'establishment' amongst Theater-goers and has been in the city for decades. You can enjoy either Pre-Theater or Post-Theater family style dinners there. The atmosphere is casual and the food is scrumptious!
Here's a list of my top favorite restaurants in New York City and why I enjoy them so much:

Best Post or Pre-Theater Dinner: Carmine's - The atmosphere is perfect for a large crowd and the service was friendly.

Best Sunday Brunch: Cafe Des Artistes - Located right across from Central Park - Along Central Park West - Perfect atmosphere to dine with your girlfriends on a Sunday and gossip about the Saturday night galavanting adventures! Just don't mind the 'stares' from the *High Tea* crowd on the other tables!

Best 'Eye Candy' After hours: The Coffee Shop - Union Square - Brazilian-style restuarant with the Portugese-speaking staff to match! The wait staff is yummier than the dishes!

Best HOT DOG: Grey's Papaya - There's one located in the Upper West Side as well as down in Greenwich Village - Have a Pina Colada smoothie along with your 50 cent hot dog!!

Best cocktails: Patria - Park Avenue South - It's all about the MOJITOS here! Don't miss out on sampling one of these concoctions! They make these Cuban drinks with fresh mint and a slice of fresh sugar cane. Oh....and the 'Long Island Mojito?' Careful with that one. It will sneak up on you and you'll soon find yourself doing some wild and crazy things by the time they serve up dessert! (woo-hoo!)
