Golden Gate Park - This is a huge and beautiful park with a lot to do.
The park, located in the more remote western area of the city includes several great museums, including a science museum, an art museum, a botanical garden, and an arboretum. On Sundays the park is closed to the cars and rollerbladers, bikers, and joggers abound. An excellent attraction is the Japanese Tea garden with beautiful foilage (see picture). You can have tea and traditional Japanese crackers right in the tea garden. Costs about $3, but definitely worth it.
