"Getting to Copenhagen is easy!..." Copenhagen Transportation Tip by seamandrew

Getting to Copenhagen is easy! By plane you can hop on nearly any airline. However, SAS (Scandinavian) has a hub there and you can fly from many cities in the US non-stop. I fly locally from Newark non-stop. If you're getting in by car, you can take the Autobahn in from Germany or Sweden. If you come in from Sweden, you will cross the amazing bridge (Oresund). From Germany you will get to see the beautiful Danish countryside. Also popular are the car ferries. My wife and I took the Ferry from Rostock, Germany to Gedser, Denmark. From there we drove into Copenhagen. The ferries will take you too many places in Denmark and Northern Europe. I have not tried it but I have heard the train is also an easy and inexpensive alternative. Several cruise lines also stop in Copenhagen.
In the City, you should park your car and leave it there the whole time. Aside from all the public transportation options (trams, buses, cabs, etc.) they also have this bicycle thing set up where you grab a bike and ride it to bike stop nearest your destination. To make it better, the city is loaded with bike lanes. Many of the streets are for pedestrians only. Make sure to visit these for great shopping and for food on the go.
