"Robin Hood's Bay" Whitby Things to Do Tip by Sjalen

Whitby Things to Do: 194 reviews and 370 photos

Robin Hood's Bay is a wonderful village in a dramatic setting by the sea that gives you lots of photo opportunities. It got its name as legend has it that Robin Hood once hid here. Today, you find narrow alleys, small fishing boats, sands during low tide, book shops and a generally nice atmosphere. One end of the 'Coast to Coast' walk so you see plenty of ramblers here. Everyone gathers outside the pub by the tiny harbour. See my special page on Robin Hood's Bay for more photos.

Directions: Between Whitby and Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast (take bus or train to either and then the local bus between the two).
