"Bolonia beaches" Andalucía Off The Beaten Path Tip by DanielF

The large beaches of the Atlantic coast of Cadis have escaped speculation and mass tourism until the last years. The lack of good communications and the fact that they are often swept by strong winds from the Strait of Gibraltar helped to keep most tourists away, leaving this area as a paradise for windsurfers. This coast is now endangered too, as more and more developpings are planned each year. Fortunately there are still some unspoilt beaches, like the beaches of Bolonia, where the only constructions you can see in the area (if we except the unavoidable chiringuitos, of course) are the rests of a Roman settlement.
