Signs here are usually in French: Pont = Bridge, Rue = street,Arret = stop, etc. Speed limits are in KM/h, NOT MILES! Cops exept in school zones, usually won't stop you unless you ride 20km/h over the limit :)
Also on most highways, you'll find that cops are pretty absent. In the city, you'll often see parked cars with nobody in it or the cop is doing god knows what..
Limit's are 100km on Highways, 70 on urban boulevards, 50 on normal roads and 30 in school zones. What out though on the Bonaventure Expressway. It's considered an urban boulevard and even if riding 70 on it would be dangerous ,cops like to catch people there..

ALSO. Odd numbered roads go north/south and even East/West
