Adjacent to the Financial District and Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan's Civic Center is a nice area to have a walk. The architecture here is equally impressive as down Broadway, but this area is much more airy and green, with most of the buildings hosting government offices and up-market apartments.

The area is centered around the classicist City Hall building, which stands in the middle of a pleasant square surrounded by impressive landmarks of the city, such as the Municipal Building, the Park Row Building and, most notably, the Woolworth Building, one of the icons of the city.
