"Clean hotels but not so charming" Germany Hotel Tip by DanielF

Germany Hotels: 251 reviews and 291 photos

Accomodation in Germany is not a problem. Standards are high and the choice is wide. Even the cheapest hotels are usually very clean and offer a good range of amenities. Good hotels in the big cities may be a bit expensive, especially if there is a trade fair or similar event being held at the city, but many offer cheaper rates for the weekend and the low season.

If there is something I do not like in German hotellerie is that almost all hotels tend to uniformity. Boutique hotels are hard to find and the so-called hotels de caractère a real rarity.

Breakfasts are usually copious and offer a large variety of food, but once again, with very few variations between the hotels.
