<b><font color=red>Graslei, Koornlei and canals</b></font>

The Graslei and the Koornlei - are the two streets that line the former old harbour. Graslei means 'street of the herbs and vegetables' while Koornlei means ''street of the wheat', showing that this area was once the trade quarter of Gent. This is where you find the oldest houses of the city.
The canals - but there are not as many as in other Belgian cities, they can be cruised by flat-top boat. These tours are a bit of a tourist trap, but then again from the water you see the city from a different (and very relaxing) perspective. Boats leave from Graslei and Koornlei harbour
