The world's largest shopping centre. It is now approximately 60% retail and 40% entertainment. In other words, aside from having loads of stores, there are lots for you to play!

Clothing stores dominate this mall, and prices range from discount to high-end. It is looked upon as a testing ground for expanding into Canada by American retailers, and so a few stores are unique to Western Canada. Lots of gift and gadget stores as well.

As for entertainment, WEM has the world's largest indoor water park, world's largest indoor amusement park, a skating rink, a mini-golf course, a driving range, a shooting range, 3 movie theatres, bunch of nightclubs, a Playdium, a casino, etc etc.

I, like most Edmontonians who do not live nearby, go there only occasionally to shop. Most of the time I go there for entertainment. So for first timers, definitely a neat experience. For veterans like myself, it still keeps drawing us back. And that's the best indication of a good place to go, wouldn't you say?
