"ABJ has been recently..." Abidjan Transportation Tip by VTShounen

Abidjan Transportation: 7 reviews and 12 photos

ABJ has been recently renovated and is sparklingly new. For the most part it's a decent airport. Don't expect much facilities though while you wait for your departure flight - do all your banking/postal needs before you go through immigration. ABJ's website is quite good - www.aeria.ci.
The network of roads are excellent - the freeways with interchanges make for getting around quite fast. Taxis are everywhere and quite cheap. Didn't take a bus but they seem abundant. There's a ferry service that traverse the lagoon from 3 different points. Fare is cheap, but figuring out where the ferry goes was a bit confusing for me. Ask first before you get on - I ended up getting to Treichville, but had to take a cab back to Le Plateau.
