Greyfriars, Edinburgh: 2 reviews and 1 photos

Fondest memory: I love animals (that's why I don't eat or wear them) and the story of Greyfriars Bobby and the grave moves me every time I visit Edinburgh. Greyfriars Kirk, located on Greyfriars Place near Grassmarket is a lovely, wee church but it's the because of the graveyard that you'll find the tourists here. Go to the corner of George IV Bridge & Candlemaker Row to see the statue of Greyfriars Bobby. After his owner died, the wee Skye terrier spent everyday holding vigil next to his owner's grave in the churchyard. And he did this for 14 years only leaving to be fed at the nearby pub once a day. And some people think that animals don't have feelings!!!
