"Phoenix Park" Phoenix Park Tip by Deefstes
Phoenix Park, Dublin: 47 reviews and 100 photos
Visit the enormous Phoenix park and see the 205 foot tall Welington monument, USA embassy, Irish Presindcy mansion, Garda Headquarters, Dept. of Defence, Fallow Deer roaming the park or even the Phoenix Zoo, all inside the biggest city park in Europe.
Yes that's right, it whips the ass of the likes of Hyde Park in London.
Interestingly enough the park got its name from the natural spring in the park for which the Irish name is "Fionn uisce". I know, it might not be obvious but "Fionn uisce" is actually pronounced "phoenix".
