"The Millennium Bridge" London Millennium Footbridge Tip by phil_uk_net
London Millennium Footbridge, London: 56 reviews and 101 photos
Take a stroll over the Millennium Bridge.
Due to open in time for the Millennium, the bridge wobbled a bit too much for most people's liking and was duly shut. It finally reopened in 2002 with the addition of some strategically positioned shock absorbers and is now wobble-free.
It is the newest bridge over the Thames and links St Pauls with Tate Modern. A nice piece of British engineering and pleasing to the eye.
Address: Thames Embankment, London
Directions: Near St Pauls on the north bank and Tate modern on the south.
