.
An interesting trip in the internal country of Genoa. From Piazza De Ferrari take bus N.36 direction Manin. Stop in Piazza Manin and rech the small station of this railway.
On route from Genoa to Casella you can admire the ruins of a medioeval aqueduct, the Bisagno valley, the Sperone, Pui and Diamante forts (the latter being built between the eighteenth and the nineteenth century) the Polcevera valley, the litlle villages of Torrazza, S. Olcese, Crocetta d'Orero (ancient border separating the Republic of Genoa from imperial feuds) and finally Casella, denominated 'The Pearl of the Scrivia valley.
It is no wonder that the Genoese people prefer to spend their holidays in Casella and a large numbers of Italian and foreign visitors come to visit Casella to experience the emotions of the renown historical train ride.
In the ancient part of the town you will find the seventeenth century oratory, the church and, at only a few steps away, Camugin restaurant, which jealously cherishes its kitchen utensil possessions from over hundred years ago.
