"By plane into Changi Airport...." Singapore Transportation Tip by Theobold

Singapore Transportation: 530 reviews and 475 photos

By plane into Changi Airport. Very clean and spacious and the MRT has just been extended to it, (I think). But beware, if you are intending to take your luggage on the MRT you may find that you are not allowed as there are size rules on how big your bags are allowed to be. You may say that this is silly, but it is Singapore and this requirement allows other passengers on the MRT to not be falling over bags etc. There are no luggage racks on the MRT at all.
You must use the MRT, it is very clean and clearly signed. You can get a $12 travelcard that is accepted on the buses as well as the MRT. The cost of the $12 card goes down each time you use it, I was there for a week and it lasted the whole week long.
If you want to you can get a train to Malaysia, but you will find that as soon as you cross the border, Singapore's cleanliness and order goes completely out of the window.

Type: Train
