"The new Science Center. Yes,..." Kids Stuff Tip by slabeaume

Kids Stuff, Saint Louis: 7 reviews and 6 photos

The new Science Center. Yes, it is free also. Although they do have an Omnimax which charges a fee, and the planetarium side has star shows and laser shows to music that charge a small fee.
The Planetarium is actually in Forest Park and is connected to the new Science Center by a walk way over highway 40. It's a rather neat connection. The path leading to the bridge is a replica of a mine shaft. Also along that pathway is an interesting historical medical hands on exhibit. On the bridge are windows to see the traffic with radar guns that you can point at the motorist passing by and show them how fast they are going. There are even windows on the bottom of the walkway so you can see the cars going under you--kind of an odd feeling. The new science center has lots of hands on exhibits that are free, plus a children's learning center that has a small fee.
