Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Vatican City requires proper attire for people going into its buildings and the Vatican Gardens. For men, make sure that you have long pants and - though this is not quite as important - collared shirts. Ladies can wear pants or skirts of appropriate length, but make sure that you bring something to cover your shoulders. Also, you should bring comfortable walking shoes for the climb up St. Peter's and through the almost endless Vatican Museum. Of course, if you are lucky enough to get into a Papal audience, coat and tie for the men and a dress for the ladies - preferrably black in color - are mandatory.

Photo Equipment: The interiors of some of the Vatican buildings are darkened to protect the artwork. Bringing a higher speed film for indoor shots is probably a good idea.
