The Panorama Hotel: "The Panorama Hotel" Andorra Hotel Tip by James63

Andorra Hotels: 41 reviews and 34 photos

The price runs about 95 euros a night, offseason. This is about average for Andorra, where hotel prices tend to the high side.

Unique Qualities: The Panorama is a blend of elegant hotel and ski lodge. The rooms are a moderate size and comfortable, though by no means elegant. The pool and jacuzzi are quite nice, and located in a room with great views over the capital. (The sauna is nothing to write home about, and you must request the front desk to activate it.) The restaurant has standard fare, but is quite bland in appearance, though again it has great views. The bar looks more like the dessert counter at a diner. However, that said, the location is quite good, being well within walking distance of most of the capital's shopping - though it will take about 15 minutes or so to get to Andorra La Vella's Barri Antic. Also nearby is the Caldea, a spectacular complex with Europe's largest spa, located in the center of Escaldes. The views from the rooms are spectacular - hence the name of the hotel - and the staff are quite helpful and willing to arrange day trips for you to other sites around the country. This latter point is a real asset as you will quickly tire of dealing with Andorra's kamikaze drivers and their roller coaster mountain roads.

Price Comparison: about average
Directions: The Panorama Hotel is located in Escaldes, a suburb of Andorra La Vella that is almost indistinguishable from the capital itself. As you enter Andorra La Vella, a highway juts out just to the right of
