"Aiya Napa. The beaches were..." Cyprus Favorite Tip by Russophile

Favorite thing: Aiya Napa. The beaches were virtually untouched and beautiful in 1980. There was this bay with an island a few hundred meters out that you could walk to in low tide. Next to the island there were large holes in the sea bottom full of marine life.

Fondest memory: As I mentioned in the introduction, I learned to swim in the buoyant salt water of the mediterranean. The warm sun was a relief from the cold, rainy nordic climate I was used to. I once played pinball for hours on end after depositing 25 mills, it was glorious.

We would buy huge watermelons for next to nothing and crack open for a feast on the beach.
